Prevc rejoint Peterka
19 ans après Primoz Peterka vainqueur en 1997, Peter Prevc devient ce soir le second sauteur Slovène vainqueur de la mythique Tournée des 4 Tremplins.
Prevc met également un terme à l'hégémonie des sauteurs Autrichiens vainqueurs des sept dernières éditions.
En remportant trois concours sur quatre le Slovène mérite évidemment le triomphe obtenu ce soir devant les 30 000 spectateurs massés dans l'arène de Bischofshofen pleine à ras bord.
Sans un brin de malchance à Oberstdorf il aurait sans doute réussi le grand chelem et rejoint dans la légende l'Allemand Sven Hannawald.

Ce soir Prevc a encore une fois régalé avec notamment son second saut à 141.5m, à moins d'un mètre du record détenu par le Japonais Ito.
A peine revenu sur terres et déjà ses coéquipiers et son jeune frère Domen, 6eme ce soir, le portait en héros devant les supporters Slovènes.
Battu l'an passé d'un rien au général de la coupe du monde, Peter Prevc, tient aujourd'hui sa première revanche.

Severin Freund et Michael Hayboeck, superbes rivaux, terminent ce soir deuxième et troisième.
On les retrouve exactement à la même place au classement général de la Tournée. Voilà une logique sportive respectée et une hiérarchie bien installée dans le monde du saut à ski.
Dommage pour le Norvégien Kenneth Gangnes qui perd ce soir sa troisième place au général.

Vincent Descombes-Sevoie se classe 16eme du concours et 16eme de la Tournée.
Après avoir battu en duel son pote Ronan Lamy-Chappuis en première manche, le sauteur de Chamonix signe un très bon deuxième saut et termine cette Tournée avec son meilleur résultat en carrière au général.
Du très bon boulot et on l'espère beaucoup de belles choses à venir dans les prochaines semaines.

Peter Prevc (SLO): “I'm really excited and really happy that I could win today. It was hard, but it was an amazing day. I was very nervous, I think I couldn't sleep for three days. I think I won't sleep much tonight either because we have something to celebrate now."
Being on the podium here is extremely cool, in the previous years I often had to explain why it didn't work when the victory ceremony was held. It was a very nice 4-Hills-Tournament that ended today.
It worked well in the first competition already and so it got a lot easier. It wasn't perfect and one was clearly stronger so I still have something to work on. I will definitely go to Willingen now, it's the best place to get prepared for ski flying."
Severin Freund (GER): "A lot worked well for me this season, this 4-Hills-Tournament was a lot of fun. You must have done a lot right when you are on the podium four times.
Michael Hayboeck (AUT): "I had to fight really hard for the third place in the overall ranking. There was a TV right at the start, I saw how far Kenneth jumped and I knew that I can't afford to make a mistake.
It's great that I was able to fly over that green line then. I'm more than happy with how the 4-Hills-Tournament went for me, I was always in the Top 5. If somebody would have told me this before I would have accepted it right away. It is a huge success for me and I'm happy that I could be on the podium twice in front of the home crowd."
