Braud et Lacroix ont bien débuté la journée avec de bons sauts sur le fameux tremplin de Lahti.
On les retrouve au départ du relais de 15km au 4e rang avec un retard de 43sec sur la paire Allemande Frenzel, Rydzek. Les Norvégiens Graabak et Klemetsen partant dans les skis du duo de tête.
Dès les premiers kilomètres Allemands et Norvégiens skient ensemble et la victoire se jouera dans la dernière ligne droite avec le double champion olympique Joergen Graabak, un véritable talent âgé de seulement 22 ans, qui va s'imposer devant le vainqueur de la course de samedi Johannes Rydzek.
Derrière la paire Française montre de très belles choses sur la piste en restant toute la course avec la deuxième équipe Allemande de Edelmann et Kircheisen.
L'Italie avec le très rapide Alessandro Pittin parviendra à rejoindre Français et Allemagne 2 mais le Transalpin, usé par son effort, cèdera dans l'emballage final face à un Sébastien Lacroix des grands jours.
Le Bois d'Amonier, pas au mieux durant les JO, se fait plaisir avec cette belle troisième place obtenue avec l'aide d'un François Braud épatant. Malgré l'absence de Lamy-Chappuis, la France monte sur le podium. Cela fera du bien au moral pour la fin de saison...
L'Allemagne 2 se classe 4e juste derrière le duo Français, suivie par l'Italie.

Joergen Graabak (NOR): "It was a very important day for Norway in the Nations Cup. Haavard and me did a good job on the hill and started 8 second behind Germany. That was a bit better than we were expecting. In the first laps, Germany was trying to keep us away from the lead. We kept cool and just started to pick up seconds in the last part of the race. To be able to catch up with them and finish so strong, it's a great day for us and a really important step in the Nations Cup. Hopefully we can have some good fights with Germany on the next weekends."
Johannes Rydzek (GER) - "We both had a really really good jump on the hill and were able to start first. We tried to get away from Norway which looked pretty promising in the beginning. But they were really strong, especially Joergen. On the final lap I actually felt good and wanted to attack in the last turn but it was just too narrow and the speed was too high to overtake in the finish line sprint."
Sebastien Lacroix (FRA): "It was a great day for the French team. We are very happy about this podium. We showed a great competition. It was tough at the jumping hill today, it was a close competition and we could have taken more speed in the hill but it was okay, we both did good jumps and in the cross-country race we were very strong. We had good skis, we had a good feeling and so we are very happy with this podium."
