Severin Freund (GER): "I'm really, really happy. I never won in Kuopio before and it's one of my favorite hills. I always wanted to win here. It would have been nicer on the big hill, but the small hill is also very nice and it was the better choice today. With a second and a first place in the individual competitions Finland was a great place for me as always.

Anders Bardal (NOR): "When you see the result it was worth it today. It was a nice day for me. I had two good jumps, one in the trial round and one in the competition. It's a perfect result right before the home competition in Trondheim. Of course I would like to be closer, or maybe even ahead of Freund, but he is a machine right now. Maybe it works in Trondheim."

Stefan Kraft (AUT): "We knew before that it would be difficult today and that there might be only one round. You trust the jury that you can jump safely when they give you the green light. I think it was the best possible decisions to change the hill. It was a bit dangerous and turbulent from time to time, but I think they handled it very well today. I like the hills in Trondheim and Oslo and it will be a good fight for the overall title."

Simon Ammann (SUI): "I didn't expect that the jump would go that far because I was a bit unstable over the knoll. Then it's great when you can just fly. It's was an amazing feeling and a hill record. I hope I can hold that for a while. It was a long day and it's not easy to stay focused. I felt really well, also on the normal hill and if you jump that well then the emotions are real. It was important for the next competitions."
