Joli podium pour débuter le week-end
Pas de neige à Ramsau et des organisateurs qui ont fait des miracles pour tracer une piste longue de 1.250km au milieu des prairies de la région. Une toute petite boucle, toute plate qui empêche évidemment de faire de gros écarts.
La manche de saut avait donc son importance ce matin. Un exercice bien négocié par le quatuor Français malgré une trentaine de secondes de handicap sur l'Allemagne et l'Autriche, la Norvège étant intercalé.
Lacroix et lamy-Chappuis, deux excellents fondeurs, ont très vite ramené l'équipe dans le top 3 avec les Allemands et les Norvégiens, alors que l'Autriche perdait pied. La situation se fige durant la majeure partie de ce relais.
L'Autriche avec Orter parviendra tout de même à recoller en fin de course au moment ou la décision allait se faire. Epuisé Orter laisse partir le Norvégien Graabak et l'Allemand Riessle accompagné par Maxime Laheurte.
L'ordre ne changera plus et la Norvège réalise presque le grand chelem en ce samedi 20 décembre :
Victoire de Bjoergen en fond féminin, de Gloeersen en fond masculin, de Jansrud en alpin et de l'équipe Kokslien, Klemetsen, Schmid et Graabak en combiné ! Enorme !
L'Allemagne se classe deuxième avec Edelmann, Frenzel, Rydzek et Riessle. La France complète le podium avec 6.5sec de retard pour Lacroix, Lamy-Chappuis, Braud et Laheurte.
L'Autriche se place 4eme à 12sec. Ces quatre nations étant largement au dessus des autres.
Derrière c'est très loin avec les USA à 1min49, l'Italie à 2min10 et toutes les autres nations à plus de trois minutes.
Suite de ce week-end à Ramsau, dimanche avec une épreuve individuelle et une manche de saut très importante...

Mikko Kokslien (NOR): „It was a great day for the Norwegian team. We really wanted this win and it was good to have it. I think everybody did a really good job. Myself and Joergen performed well on the jumping hill compared to what we might have done before this year, so this was good. And the rest of the guys, Jan and Haavard, also did a good job. The skiing did work out as planned. I was hoping I could catch Germany and then we know we have a strong finisher in Joergen. It was a bit of a battle in the last kilometre but we came out winning, so that was great for us."
Tino Edelmann (GER) : „The day started off well, I had a really good jump in the competition. The jumping event was a little bit influenced by the wind conditions but as an athlete you can’t do anything about this, you just have to do what you’re able to. Me and my teammates succeeded in doing this. We had a good starting position for the race. I started and had a really good race which I and the coaches are really satisfied with. In the end, 0.1 second was missing which is definitely annoying but sometimes not to be helped in sports. We are happy about rank two and congratulate Norway on the win."
Sebastien Lacroix (FRA): „It was a good day for the French team, we had quite a good competition. The wind conditions were strange but it was quite good for us. The cross-country track was not very difficult but you had to push the whole time and we did a good job during the race to come back to the podium. We had good skis, too, so everything was perfect and I would like to thank our service team."
