Heidi Weng (NOR)

"Today it was not easy at all. I felt very tired in the first lap. I knew Krista was skiing really fast. I was afraid Krista and Ingvild were coming close to me. I am happy about my performance during the last two weekends."

Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg (NOR)

"Krista was coming really fast from behind. The gap was getting smaller and smaller. I am really satisfied with 2nd place. It would have been better if Krista did not fall and we could fight until the finish. It is fun to win the first podium of the season."

Krista Parmakoski (FIN)

"I felt like I was flying today. It was an amazing race. My body worked very well and my skis were perfect. It was an advantage to ski behind Ingvild. On the last downhill I had to take my chances if I wanted to win. The fall was unfortunate but I am happy for 3rd place."

Martin Johnsrud Sundby (NOR)

"Calle had quite a good pace from the beginning and he seemed to have full control of the race. But after some 7 km he got in trouble. I thought that was our chance to catch up with him.

I tried to make my move when we left the stadium for the last time. I tried to keep the pace high all the way up on the longest hill. Luckily I gained some meters and won in the end. It is somehow the biggest victory for me."

Johannes Klaebo (NOR)

"I am very satisfied with 2nd place. It was a very tough race. It is amazing to be on the podium."

Matti Heikkinen (FIN)

"The first 6 km the pace was very high. Then it went slower. I was happy I survived it. The plan was to ski fast in the last 2 km. I knew that on the last uphill Sundby will attack. I had still some energy left and I tried to go as fast as I could.

I did not think about anything else but going fast to the finish."
