Pour cette reprise du Grand Prix d'été, c'est Jurij Tepes qui s'impose avec des sauts à 132.5m et 132m pour un total de 256.4 points.
Le prometteur Slovène devance le jeune Norvégien Anders Fannemel qui avait brillé l'hiver dernier et en particulier à Vikersund en signant un saut gigantesque à 244,5m du haut de son 1m65. Pour son anniversaire, Tom Hilde s'offre une belle troisième place : un chouette cadeau !
Côté Suisse, Simon Ammann termine 6ème, Gregor Deschwanden 13ème et Marco Grigoli 14ème.
Il faut noter que hier, lors des qualifications, le record du tremplin a été battu par Robert Kranjec, le champion du monde de vol à ski, à 138.5m ! Comme quoi les Slovènes étaient parfaitement à leur affaire durant cette compétition.
Ce dimanche les Norvégiens auront l'occasion de prendre leur revanche lors du second concours prévu ici à Almaty.

Jurij Tepes : "This was a nice win today. Last year I already won here in Almaty, I just like this hill here and this win is another step forward for me. After the first round my goal was to beat the Norwegians and I was able to do that. I'm very happy with today's result"
Anders Fannemel : "My first jump was really good, in the second one I was a bit late at the take-off. I have a good feeling on this hill and so I'm satisfied the second place."
Tom Hilde : "For me it as a nice competition today. The hill here is great. I'm still struggling with the new suits a bit so it's hard to show two good jumps in a competition. So I'm very happy with my performance today"
