4eme succès en carrière pour Peter Prevc
Et déjà un 18eme podium pour le sauteur Slovène, preuve de sa régularité au plus haut niveau depuis deux saisons. Deux sauts mesurés à 130m et 131m pour un total de 276.4 points lui assurant la victoire.
Le leader du général de la coupe du monde Stefan Kraft se contente de la deuxième place et des 80 points qui vont avec. Troisième place pour le Tchèque Roman Koudelka.
On trouve ensuite l'excellent Micheal Hayboeck et le second Slovène Jurij Tepes.

La belle surprise nous arrive de France avec la superbe 9eme place de Vincent Descombes-Sevoie avec deux sauts à 121.5m et 126m. Le Haut-Savoyard rentre pour la première fois de sa carrière dans le Top10.
Certes il manquait aujourd'hui certains des meilleurs mondiaux mais la performance de Descombes-Sevoie est remarquable.
Son coéquipier Ronan Lamy-Chappuis se classe 33eme.
Un deuxième concours est prévu la nuit prochaine au Japon.

Peter Prevc (SLO): "I feel amazing today. I've been in the Top 10 in almost every competition this winter, but this was finally my first victory. The conditions were untypical for Sapporo and I liked it very much. I don't think about the overall World Cup yet, it will be decided in Scandinavia, not before."
Stefan Kraft (AUT): "It was a really fair competition and it was a lot of fun. There were a lot of long jumps and everything went well for me. I hope for another fair competition tomorrow. I did my best to beat Peter today, but he was too strong. He deserves his first win this season."
Roman Koudelka (CZE): "After the long trip to Japan it was a very good day. I had a perfect timing in both jumps and I'm really satisfied with the result. It's very difficult to jump on this hill because of the changing wind, but today it was easy."
