Results — Race Result → 🌐 Official site →The Australian Outback Marathon returns to Yulara, in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, on Saturday 25 July 2026, as it does every year on the last Saturday of the month. The Marathon and Half Marathon start together at around 7.45am, runners setting off with their backs to Uluru (Ayers Rock) for the classic start-line photo before tracking the rock on their left for roughly 1.5km and turning toward the course's own landmarks — Camel Corner, Lisa's Corner, Dead Tree Corner, the Power Station and the Triangle. The 11km and 6km fun runs follow at around 8.30am. The course is relatively flat but runs largely on unsealed roads, bush tracks and soft-sand trails, crossing a handful of small dunes and plenty of the region's famous red earth, with Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) visible in the distance. Because the surface isn't a certified flat road measurement, the race is run as a destination event rather than a qualifier. Entry is only available as part of an accommodation package built around race weekend, including a sunrise viewing of Uluru, a welcome ceremony and carbo-load dinner on the Friday, and a Kata Tjuta Valley of the Winds tour the day after the race. Expect mild winter conditions: daytime highs around 20-22°C, dropping to 5-7°C before dawn. Results: Race Result.
