The Honda Waterfront Run Barrie returns on Sunday June 7, 2026, bringing the running community together on the beautiful shores of Kempenfelt Bay, the western arm of Lake Simcoe, in Barrie, Ontario. Produced by MultiSport Canada Productions and presented by Honda, this annual event has been a fixture of the Barrie running calendar since the early 2000s. Runners of all abilities gather at Meridian Place on Simcoe Street for a morning of waterfront racing, with five distances from a Kids Fun Run to the full half marathon. The flat, paved course is an ideal setting for personal bests and first-timers alike, with stunning lake views throughout.
The course — out-and-back on Barrie's bayfront
All distances start and finish at Meridian Place on Simcoe Street. The course runs along the Barrie waterfront trail, flat and paved throughout, in an out-and-back format along Kempenfelt Bay. Races start in seeded waves to keep the course clear: half marathon at 8:00–8:05am, 10K around 8:20am, 5K from 8:40–8:50am, and the Kids Fun Run at 10:00am. The 5K Stroller category is a welcoming addition for parents running with young children in strollers. Note that some sections of the course allow vehicle traffic, so all athletes must remain aware of their surroundings.
