La réaction d'Asia d'Amato

"When I entered the competition I knew that I could do a great job today. Before my bars routine I understood that it was possible for me to take the gold medal so I got a little nervous but I stayed strong and focused because I really wanted this medal.

I think the first place is the right position for me in this competition." "I'm proud to receive this medal for Italy and to follow the success of my role models like Vanessa Ferrari (All-Around Gold medalist at the European Championships in 2007)."

On the strong performance of the Italian team: "We showed a great competition today but we want to be even stronger in the Team-Final on saturday. After our third place in Stuttgart (2019 world championships) we really want this gold medal."

La réaction de Joe Fraser

On winning gold, Great Britain's first-ever European gold in the All-Around:

"This is incredible. "It's been one real real big journey. Standing here today with the gold medal around my neck is not just for me. It's for the whole team. My coach has been there every step of the way, we had so many obstacles along this journey to get here today.

Even to compete six apparatus. "To be here with this medal means more than you know." "At the end of May I had an appendix rupture, four weeks ago I fractured my foot. Today I'm still here, doing six apparatus at the European Championships, which is an achievement itself."

On fracturing his foot four weeks ago:

"To be honest, it's hard to believe that four weeks ago tomorrow I fractured my foot and I was unable to do six apparatus as much as I tried to get back for the Commonwealth Games.

"Actually, in hindsight I'm glad that I took myself off of that competition, because now I was able to do six apparatus. Maybe not quite to the best of my ability, but good enough to be European champion. Honestly, I'm over the world."

On the last few weeks:

"There have been lots of ups and downs. I had some amazing days. The Commonwealth Games were incredible, but I also had some hard days, struggling to walk and actually do things on my foot. "Stood here, having done a floor and a vault routine, is just incredible. I am really excited to see what the team can do the next few days."

On whether he thought he could do this after the ups and downs he had:

"I always said this will be my one big story one day. I don't know if I actually believed it. I think I liked the idea of it. Actually, I made it a reality. I couldn't have done it without the team honestly. They've been there believing in me, every step of the way."

On the key on his way to win gold:

"Every routine was really important. Floor was important because the landings I haven't been able to do enough to know exactly where the floor is when I'm trying to land. Pommel (horse) was really important because it is a routine I have been relying on to carry me through the other apparatus.

Rings is just as important, I got to stay there around that 14 mark. "Vault, to land on my feet was just a dream come true. To then deliver that parallel bars routine was just something I really needed, especially moving into high bar to give me that extra push.

"I knew I had to deliver a good enough high bar routine and I did actually have a mistake in the middle, but I stuck the dismount. I think that carried me through."

On what's next for him and the British team:

"For us we know that the medals can come, we just have to deliver the routines. For us, we're not focused on the end result. We're focusing on routines. We know we can achieve great things, like today.
