The Manitoba Marathon 2026 celebrates its 47th edition on Father's Day, Sunday 21 June 2026, starting at 7:00 AM from Princess Auto Stadium at the University of Manitoba, Winnipeg. One of Canada's oldest road races — established 1979 — the Manitoba Marathon is renowned for its perfectly flat prairie course, certified as a Boston Qualifier. The course was significantly redesigned in 2025 for the first time in 30 years, routing through some of Winnipeg's most scenic roadways along the Red River valley. The route runs along Pembina Highway, crosses the beautiful Abinojii Mikanah Bridge, and brings all distances through Winnipeg's stunning riverside scenery before finishing inside Princess Auto Stadium — your own "big league finish." Along the way, 2,000 volunteers cheer runners on with their famous "Miles of Smiles", and live musicians and DJs keep the energy high. Every km is marked on the marathon course, with Xact water/electrolyte stations every 3 km.
