Fulton, Maryland — Running to End Cancer

The 18th Maryland Half Marathon & 5K takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at the Maple Lawn community in Fulton, Howard County, Maryland — just minutes from Columbia and north of Baltimore. Organized by the University of Maryland Medical System Foundation, this iconic race is much more than a competition: every step and every dollar raised directly supports the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center (UMGCCC), a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center ranked among the top cancer centers in the country.

Since its founding in 2009, participants have collectively raised more than $6 million for cancer research and patient care. The 18th edition features the Half Marathon (13.1 miles) starting at 8:00 AM, the 5K Run/Walk at 8:30 AM, the Pacers Half, a Fun Run, and Virtual options. Jeff Galloway Run/Walk/Run pace groups are available for the half marathon. All participants receive an official race t-shirt, and a post-race festival with Kids Zone, food and activities awaits at the finish.

🟢 Jeff Galloway Run/Walk/Run Pace Groups

The Maryland Half Marathon offers Jeff Galloway Intervals Pace Groups — available to half marathon participants only. Galloway Program Directors and group leaders spend much of the year training runners to achieve their personal goals. Pacers are experienced half marathoners with personal records significantly faster than their assigned pace. They use Jeff Galloway's recommended run/walk/run method and take strategic walk breaks to help all runners cross the finish line strong. Multiple time targets are available — check the race website for the full pace group lineup.
