Therese Johaug (NOR) Gold winner:
"It's the greatest day in my life. I had a dream about taking a gold medal. Today I got a gold medal, and it's just a dream. When I was a little girl I saw Marit take a lot of gold medals in Oberstdorf, and I hoped to do the same today."
"The track here is really hard. Before the start I felt I had a really good day today. And good skis. I got a gap while getting up to Styggedalen. The coach wrote 'world champion' and 'gold' on paper. That was fantastic."
"The sky was blue and the spectators cheered. It's an experience I will remember for the rest of my life." "My skis were really good. I knew that my chance was while going uphill. "My best pair of skis was waiting for me in the end."
"I will remember all this day from the start till the end." "To go to the stadium with the flag, and with all the people, it was like a dream. " "Oh yes, I'm looking forward to the ceremony tonight." "I tried to keep a steady pace throughout the race. "
Marit Bjoergen (NOR). Silver medalist:
"Therese (Johaug) was the strongest girl today. She did an amazing race. I had a feeling that it was going to be hard for me in the second round up Styggdalen. The speed was too much for me I think. I tried really hard, but after we changed skis again I knew the gap was about 25 seconds. Then I had to concentrate on the silver."
"I knew that Therese is a strong woman. I knew she was one of those who were competing on the medals." "I'm really happy about the silver today."
"At abound 22-23 kilometers I knew that I had to concentrate on silver. I knew I had better skis than Kowalczyk. I knew that I was much better than Kowalczyk in downhills. When I was back at the stadium I knew the silver was mine."
"Today I had three pair of skis. I had my second best skis first and my best skis in the end of the race. My waxing team did a great job. We knew that we had to change two times because of the dirty snow. "
"We, the Norwegian team, knew we were a strong team. We knew we could be in the front and maybe work together. But then Therese was the strongest, so it was hard for me to follow."
"I have been waiting for this Championship since 2006. It has been a dream for me a long time. I have taken four gold and one silver. I had a very good season last year, but this season has been better. " "The people around the track were crazy today. Especially around Frognerseteren. I think it will not be the same in Val di Fiemme."
"I was a favorite before the Championship and I'm satisfied that I was able to meet the expectations."
"I knew that Therese is a strong woman in climbing. She had a good day today. She is a young girl and she has a bright future. I'm really happy for her. It's going to be amazing for her during the ceremony this evening."
"I looked forward to this Championship. I knew that I was very strong. I really enjoy skiing and have fun with my friends and my team, so I think that is the reason for my success."
"I haven't been using energy on Jelena Velbes record. I'vw won an Olympic gold, and that's better. She hasn't."
Justyna Kowalczyk (POL):
"This was a really hard race. Hard track. A lot of nice spectators. Thank you to the Norwegian public. I will go back home feeling happy."
"I was trying to think of a good tactic and a good technique. I thought the Norwegian girls and Charlotte Kalla would be the strongest." "I'm not surprised Therese won. I was sure she would be strong." "I'm satisfied with my medals. I will try to be better in the future."
"I will win the World Cup this year." On not changing her skis: "My skis were working perfect today." "The tape on my booth is my secret."
