First waves start at 7:00am CDT. This family-friendly patriotic summer race offers five distances for all ages and abilities: a Kids Dash, a 2-Mile fun run, a chip-timed 4-Mile, a chip-timed 8-Mile, and the flagship Half Marathon (13.1 miles). Youth pricing applies to 12 & under for the 2-mile, 4-mile and 8-mile at just $15. The courses wind through Texas' stunning trails with mixed surfaces: paved trail, crushed granite and occasional dirt paths — runners should be prepared for varied terrain underfoot. DJ Sasquatch keeps the energy high, playing all the hits and announcing every finisher. All finishers of all distances receive a medal and race T-shirt. Top finishers in the 4-mile, 8-mile and half marathon earn the coveted Bigfoot Trophy for 1st overall male and female, plus special recognition pins for 1st masters male and female. Post-race, the race rally tent provides snacks and refreshments. A professional race camera captures the action throughout.
Bigfoot Running Company's signature award goes to the 1st overall male and female in the 4-mile, 8-mile and half marathon. Special recognition pins reward the 1st masters male and female in each chip-timed distance. Standard age group awards recognise the top performers across all categories.
