Results & Tracking → 🌐 Official Page →Rather than taking runners through central London, Richmond RUN-FEST combines Kew Gardens, the River Thames and historic Richmond upon Thames for what its organisers call the "world's most scenic marathon." All races start inside the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, with runners given exclusive access before the Gardens open to the public. The 2026 weekend runs Saturday 12 to Sunday 13 September: the Richmond 10K is held entirely within Kew Gardens on the Saturday, while Sunday is reserved for the flagship Marathon (starting 8:00am) and Half Marathon (starting 9:30am, together with the 10K on that day too), plus a Kids' & Family Mile later on.
The full marathon and half marathon route follows the Thames past Hampton Court Palace, Ham House, Teddington Lock and Kingston Riverside, crossing three of the river's famous bridges before finishing at a music-filled festival in Old Deer Park, Richmond. The England Athletics certified course (Licence ID 28982) is close to flat — about +160m of climbing over the full 26.2 miles — and qualifies as both a Boston Marathon and London Marathon Good for Age entry route, with a 6.5-hour time limit.
