Results → 🌐 easttown.com →The Storm the Bastille 5K marks its 40th anniversary on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 9:00pm in downtown Milwaukee. Billed as the city's only organized nighttime downtown run, the race starts on North Jefferson Street, adjacent to Cathedral Square Park, and sends runners and walkers through the illuminated streets of East Town and the Historic Third Ward before finishing at the same location. The course is not officially certified but is close to the 5K distance; walkers are welcome to complete a shorter option at the halfway point. Every participant receives a timed bib, courtesy of PrimeTime Timing. The 2025 edition drew a record 5,252 registered participants. The race is produced by the East Town Association and serves as the official kickoff to Bastille Days, running July 9–12, 2026 at Cathedral Square Park, one of the largest French-themed festivals in the United States.
