The Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend is Canada's largest multi-day running festival, drawing nearly 50,000 participants each year since its first edition in 1975. The 2026 edition spans Saturday May 23 and Sunday May 24, with all races starting and finishing at Ottawa City Hall (110 Laurier Avenue West). The marathon and half marathon courses are flat and fast, widely recognised as among the best courses in Canada for targeting a personal best or earning a Boston Qualifier. The marathon is also an Abbott World Marathon Majors MTT Age Group Qualifier. The marathon route uniquely crosses into Quebec, passing through both provinces and offering runners a truly Canadian experience alongside the Rideau Canal (UNESCO World Heritage Site), the Parliament Buildings, and the Ottawa River.
