Jonas Vingegaard n’en finit pas de dominer ce Giro. Le Danois de Team Visma | Lease a Bike s’impose en solitaire à Carì pour sa 4e victoire d’étape, encore devant Felix Gall (Decathlon CMA CGM Team, +1′09) et Jai Hindley (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe, +1′11). Thymen Arensman (Netcompany INEOS) pointe à 1′14″. Au classement général, le tableau se redessiné nettement : Gall remonte en 2e position à 4′03″, Arensman 3e à 4′27″, Hindley 4e à 5′00″.
