Felix Gottwald (AUT), bronze medal:
"I am very satisfied. I have a reason to be happy, because I won a medal."
Tino Edelmann (GER), silver medal
"It was a great race, perfect for the German team. Eric did a fantastic jump and mine was also very good. We did our best. I'm sure we are going to celebrate this in the evening, but in a small scale because the team race is coming soon - and now the German team is a favorite."
Eric Frenzel (GER), gold medal
"It was a great contest for me. Both in ski jumping and cross-country. It was perfect, I'm so happy!" "I didn't believe I could win until I saw the finish line. I was afraid of Gottwald, who was chasing me." "This is the first time I won a race against the seniors, previously I have only won races in the junior class. It feels fantastic to be referred to as the World Champion." "Now I can finally give something back to my family. My 4-year-old son hasn't seen his father much this winter."
Jason Lamy Chappuis (FRA):
"I am very disappointed. The new snow that came just 10 minutes before the start made it difficult and it wore me out. I still have high expectations for the team race, and prefer the big hill."
Håvard Klemetsen (NOR):
"It wasn't an advantage for me to go first and pave the way."
Magnus Moan (NOR) - 14th
"Now I'm done with my poor performances. Now it can only be better." "I felt so heavy. My body felt heavy, my legs felt heavy, but my mood could not have been better. When the group started to pick up speed, I realized this would be a tough race. This hard experience will pay off later in the World Championships, I'm sure. The audience was fantastic, and I think this was the start of something big. In the team competition, we are among the favorites. "
Mikko Kokslien (NOR) - started 1.22 behind the winner in cross-country:
"It was an OK competition. I tried to do my best. I am on the attack. It was encouraging to hear the audience cheering at Kollen. A true celebration."
Berlot Gasper (SLO) - 14th after ski jump:
"It was a tough competition. And my skis were terrible."
Janne Ryynänen (FIN)- 11th after ski jump:
"The race was all right, but I was too far behind after the ski jump competition. This was a mediocre performace. The track was quite icy."
Hannu Manninen (FIN) -30th after ski jump:
"My jump was all right, but not long enough. I haven't competed in 8 weeks, and have had some problems. My goal was to be among the top 3, so I am slightly disappointed."
Jan Schmid (NOR):
"This hasn't been the best season for me. I don't feel like I'm in a bad shape, but I had a bad day. That is unfortunate when it happens during the World Championships. The good thing is that only a few people saw my performance." "It was tough. I am disappointed because I had the potential to perfom better." "From this competition, I would prefer to remember my good ski jump performance and forget about how I did in cross-country."
Håvard Klemetsen (NOR) -
"I was not quite up to my best in cross-country. I prefer sprint, so the last leg went better. Nowadays I'm fantastic at ski jumping and it gives me confidence." "I got chills from walking in Holmenkollen today."
