The Ultra Trail Wales 2026 (Ultra Wales 50) returns for its 7th edition on Saturday 20 June 2026, starting at 6:00 AM from the Coed-y-Brenin Visitor Centre in Southern Snowdonia. This epic 51-mile single loop (+2,898m of ascent) takes runners through some of Wales' most iconic and demanding mountain terrain. The route climbs to the summit of Cadair Idris Penygader (893m), traverses Rhinog Fach (712m), passes through the market town of Dolgellau, crosses the celebrated Barmouth estuary along the Mawddach Trail, and winds through the magnificent forest of Coed-y-Brenin — Wales' greatest forest — before returning to the finish at the Visitor Centre.
