The Venice Beach Half Marathon & 5K presented by goodr returns for its 2nd edition on Sunday, May 17, 2026, following a sold-out debut year. Organized by Generic Events (Michelle and Brennan Lindner), the race brings 5,000+ runners through the streets and landmarks of world-famous Venice Beach, raising funds for local schools in the Venice, Mar Vista and Marina del Rey area. Start: 2600 Barnard Way, Santa Monica. Finish: under the legendary Venice Sign (84 Windward Ave). Half Marathon 7:00 AM — 5K 8:00 AM.
The scenic course winds past Ocean Front Walk, Muscle Beach, Venice Canals, Abbot Kinney Blvd, and Venice High School (famously Rydell High in Grease!) with live entertainment, DJ, surprise activations from goodr, lululemon and R.A.D. Running, and a finish line festival with music, photo ops and brand activations. With the LA 2028 Olympics approaching, the course passes through areas that will soon be a global hub for sport.
