Results & Tracking → 🌐 Official Page →Since its official launch in 2004, the Rimi Vilnius Marathon has grown into the largest running event in Lithuania and a premier race in the Baltics, gaining AIMS certification and a World Athletics Elite Label along the way. The 2026 edition, the 23rd, starts and finishes at Cathedral Square, one of the city's most iconic landmarks, on Sunday, September 13. The course — now a single lap, so runners no longer repeat any part of the route — weaves through Vilnius' UNESCO World Heritage Old Town, blending Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and classical architecture with green parks and riverbank paths. Trees in Valakampiai and Vingis Park keep more than 20 kilometres of the route in the shade, opening up the possibility of a fast, picturesque race.
The Marathon (42.195 km) and Half Marathon (21.1 km) start together at 8:30am, forming what organisers call "an incredibly colourful river of runners" through the green streets of the city, while the 10K follows later that day at 4:00pm. A 5K and dedicated kids' races round out six distances in total, for every level of runner. Over 11,000 participants are expected to take part in 2026. Results and live tracking for every distance: LTU Timing.
