The ASICS Falmouth Road Race takes place on Sunday 16 August 2026 at 8:00 AM EDT in Falmouth, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod. Founded in 1973, the race celebrates its 54th running in 2026 over its iconic 7-mile seaside course from Woods Hole to Falmouth, one of the most beloved summer running events in the country. The race uses a pulse-start wave system to manage the field: Wheelchair Start at 7:40 AM, Wheelchair Duos at 7:41 AM, Elite Women at 7:50 AM, Elite Men at 8:00 AM, Sub-elite at 8:02 AM and the General Field at 8:04 AM, with pulse intervals of roughly two minutes between pace groups to reduce congestion. Falmouth is also home to the country's oldest competitive wheelchair race, which recently marked its 50th anniversary; the men's course record stands at 21:23, set by six-time champion Daniel Romanchuk. Around 11,400 runners of all experience levels are expected to join the professional field in 2026, with a total prize purse that includes doubled rewards for top American finishers — from $1,000 to $5,000 — thanks to a new partnership with the Massachusetts State Lottery. Race weekend also includes a Health & Fitness Expo at Falmouth High School (Thursday 13 to Saturday 15 August), the SBLI Family Fun Run for kids, the Falmouth Track Festival, and the Tommy Cochary High School Mile.
