Results & Live → 🌐 Official Website →Boulderthon has come a long way. Launched in 2021 as a nonprofit community event with 1,600 participants, it now welcomes more than 17,000 runners on Sunday, September 27, 2026.
The marathon and 10K are already sold out, with the half marathon, 5K and Kids Run close to capacity. The marathon is a Boston Qualifier and a USATF-sanctioned event.
New courses for 2026: an epic start and finish in downtown Boulder, breathtaking views near the Reservoir and a 40-50% reduction in elevation gain. Runners wind through the back roads at the foot of the Flatirons before a one-of-a-kind finish on the historic Pearl Street Mall.
The marathon starts at 7:00 AM. Water and hydration stations are staggered roughly every 3-4 miles.
