Follow finishers across the three distances via live tracking.
Results & Live → 🌐 Official Site →The Chiltern 50 Ultra Challenge is one of the flagship events in the Ultra Challenge Series, the UK's long-running programme of trekking and trail challenges organised by Action Challenge. Unlike a timed elite race, it is built around charity fundraising and personal achievement: participants sign up individually or as a team and take on their chosen distance as a walk, jog or run, entirely at their own pace. The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday 26 September, with a basecamp at Henley Showground, near Henley-on-Thames — easily accessible from London.
Three looped routes are on offer, all starting and finishing at the Henley basecamp. The Full Challenge covers 50km of historic trails, rolling hills and nature reserves across the Chilterns. The Half Challenge follows a shorter 25km version of the same loop, while the 10km route explores public footpaths and woodlands within the Culden Faw estate — a compact, family-friendly option.
Whichever distance is chosen, participants get a fully signed and GPS-tracked route, rest stops with food and drink, first aiders and massage teams, and a celebration finish with a medal and t-shirt. Optional camping and transfers are available at the Henley basecamp. As with every Ultra Challenge event, the emphasis is on charity fundraising alongside the physical challenge.
