Une communication mensongère
Débutons ce petit résumé avec un point qui a tendance à nous agacer ! Contrairement à la communication mensongère de l'organisation et de certains médias complices ou stupides, en aucun cas Courchevel n'organise des concours de coupe du monde.
La station Savoyarde accueille un concours comptant pour le Grand Prix féminin et un autre, prévu dimanche concernant le Grand Prix masculin. Beaucoup de grands noms sont absents, comme chaque année, mais ces épreuves conservent toutefois un niveau intéressant.
Voilà qui est dit !
La hiérarchie respectée
Ursa Bogataj, championne olympique en titre, a tué tout suspense dès la première manche. La Slovène, quasi parfaite techniquement, s'envole et retombe à 125.5m, le tout avec des notes excellentes.
Sauf catastrophe il ne peut plus rien lui arriver en seconde manche et elle saura parfaitement gérer la situation avec un deuxième saut à 123.5m, largement suffisant pour gagner avec 19 points d'avance sur sa coéquipière Nika Kriznar.
Derrière ce duo star on attendait le duo Tricolore et on va effectivement apprécié les performances de Julia Clair et de Joséphine Pagnier. En confiance, motivée et encouragée par le public, elles ont répondu présentes.
La Vosgienne vient prendre une belle troisième place avec 121m et 116m, et 30 points de retard sur la gagnante. La Jurassienne, devancée encore par Nika Prevc, termine en 5e position avec 105.5m et 112m, à déjà 40 points de l'intouchable Ursa Bogataj.

"I think my first jump was much better than the one in the final round. I guess I had a bit of luck with wind today. I'm satisfied with my performance and hope in the future I will manage to keep this shape.
I think winning the overall trophy is important and I just love to start in the competitions. It's important to take part in SGP events so that we don't forget how to compete before winter."
Nika Kriznar (SLO):
"I'm not really satisfied, because I didn't have luck with the wind conditions today. Also my jumps were not as good as I wanted. I feel like I have still a lot of room for improvement and I can do much better. I'm looking forward to the next competitions and today I'm only happy with result, not the jumps."
Julia Clair (FRA):
"I'm very happy about my result. It's amazing, because I didn't expect to be at the podium today, in front of my home crowd. This hill is not so easy and especially jumping at this time of the day with changing conditions.
We all know it and we just try to do our best. Our team is small, but we already have two athletes who managed to jump on the podium, so I hope it will stay the same also in winter."
