Les principaux résultats

* Saut en longueur : Le Jamaïcain Carey McLeod s'envole à 8.52m mais avec un vent beaucoup trop élevé (+5.2m/s)

* 400m : Victoire de Steven Gardiner (BAH) en 44'76

* 800m dames : La Kenyane Mary Moraa s'impose en 1'57"91, MPM 2024.

"The weather was not good to us, the wind was too high, but we have tried our best, the competition was good. This race was dedicated to the fans, there are many Kenyans here, they were waiting for the last Kenyan to compete so I dedicate it to them.

Sometimes it helps us to compete in front of a big crowd from home, we get the support from them, so you can remind yourself to push very harder. My next event is the Diamond League in Eugene, USA."

* 200m hommes : Enorme chrono de l'Américain Kenneth Bednarek (USA) vainqueur en 19'67 (+1.7m/s), record personnel, MPM 2024.

"I knew what I was gonna run, I won the world lead, I was just hoping that the weather would work with us and that is what it did so when I crossed the finish line I saw the time I didnt know if it was the lead, they wanted to hand me the lead sign, I knew I did it.

I knew I was in a good shape because my teammates would push me on practice. We are happy for each other, I am happy for them, they are happy for me, that is all that matters. It is just love.

The best I can do this year is gold medal in the Olympics, I did it in Tokyo, I know I have the talent and good training. Running this fast this early is really good, it means I will be fast by the time we start the Olympics.

Time doesnt matter, my main focus is not the time, but competting and making sure we get the job done. The next race may be in Los Angeles, I am not sure, I have been running lot of back to back races.

'Fear No One' is the message on today´s headband I'm wearing. I have a special headband with me for every single track event, I give it to the other competitors, we try to have a great time."

"I am really happy and satisfied. That was a good competition. I am really excited for more. I was aiming for a better result today to have 1.98 which is my personal best and national record and I was really hoping to do it today but I know it will be coming very soon.

I always want to improve and want to be better than I was before, so I can prove in the next competitions that I am better than I am now or the years before.

Also I am really young, I am 18 years of age and I am really happy that I can call myself an Olympian at this age so am really excited for everything.

A long season is coming and I am really happy. The atmosphere is amazing, the audience is really cheerful. As for me, I loved the audience as they are loud and they were rooting for everyone."

"I did not know what to expect tonight. Every race is difficult and even more when you are at the beginning of the season. So winning here was great, I really enjoyed it and it felt even better thanks to the presence of so many Kenyan fans in the stadium.

I also ran for them, it usually helps when they cheer for you and expect the best from you. The big prize for me this year will be an Olympic medal in Paris. I will try for the gold of course, but any medal at the Olympics will be an amazing thing for me."

"It was amazing to see that I had a lot of fans here cheering for me and I want to say thank you to them all. I am happy for my teammates that we are all three Kenyans in the podium."

"I am totally satisfied with the result. I have never been to Doha so I really love the atmosphere and I like the warm weather and everything here. We are still in May so we have to do it through June, July and August and I'm very excited ahead of the rest of the season."

"I am really excited, it is a very good way to start things! It is still very early in the season, we know that we have much work to do, so this result gives us a good, good vibe for the rest of the season! It is going to be very tough this year, so to start in such a fashion is so positive.

It was just like come here, see how work and preparation is going and it proved to be a very good day! The crowd was amazing, too...

I have three places in my heart, these are Zurich, Bellinzona and Doha. It always feels so special to be here and compete before these fans. Looking forward to seeing them again in the future."
