Un retour qui fait plaisir
Stefan Kraft, 28 ans, ancien vainqueur du général de la coupe du monde n'avait plus gagné depuis février 2020. Depuis il a connu de belles périodes mais surtout son lot de mauvaises semaines.
Entre le covid, des soucis de dos et à la cheville, le leader de l'équipe Autrichienne n'a pas été gâté. Mais à force de patience et de ténacité, le voilà de retour tout près de son meilleur niveau.
Si il continue comme cet après-midi à Klingenthal, il va vite redevenir candidat pour le cristal et challenger le tenant Halvor Egner Granerud, deuxième aujourd'hui, après une quinzaine à oublier.
Et pour compléter ce podium, énorme, du jour on retrouve la star de toute la Pologne, Mr Kamil Stoch. Imaginez que ces trois là pèsent 73 victoires et 171 podiums sur le circuit !
Kraft s'est imposé ce soir, dans un stade honteusement vide, avec deux bonds mesurés à 138m et 130m, total 267 points, soit cinq de plus que Granerud et 5.1 points de mieux que Stoch.

Derrière les stars, on trouve encore des stars avec le trio Allemand Geiger, Eisenbichler et Wellinger qui signe lui aussi un retour au premier plan tonitruant.
Kobayashi suit au 7e rang devant Johansson, Lindvik et Hoerl.
Le Français Alessandro Batby ferme la marche au 50e rang.

Stefan Kraft (AUT): "It was a great competition today, the conditions were perfect and the hill was extremely well prepared. I must admit, that I was a bit nervous when I was the last one on top of the hill, but I thought to myself: just keep going, don't defend, attack."
Halvor Egner Granerud (NOR): "It’s been a lot of work, a lot technical work with many repetations. I have been thinking and analyzing a lot. I have tried to find the right solutions, not only a quick fix. I hope we have found the jumping from Summer and last winter"
Kamil Stoch (POL): "The beginning of the season was quite difficult for me, but it's not the first time this happened in my career so I was just trying to remain calm and do my job. I knew that sooner or later the work I did during the entire summer will pay and the good jumps will come.
It was really nice to compete in such great conditions here, the best won today. It seems that the level of the competitions is getting higher every year so you always need to push yourself a little bit more to the limit. It's great to be on the podium in such a great competition."
