Statements of the Top 3 from Otepaeae:

MICHAEL HAYBOECK (AUT), who did not participate at the individual event due to illness:

“Afterwards, it was a right decision not to try to defend the individual title. I was really ill. Today, I’m very happy that we won, it was my last competition at Junior World Championships.” “We did not calculate to defend the team title which we won one year ago, but we believed that we could do so. We have seen that everything can happen, and we came back from a 24-point deficit after the first round. That’s sport.”

RICHARD FREITAG (GER):

“It would have been really nice winning here in Otepää, but I do not want to complain about second place. Our performance was really okay today. You ask if I’m sad because it was me -- as the last German jumper – who did not make the necessary meters to victory. I don’t know. That’s a Team competition, and you win together, and you are runner-up together.”

 Anders Fannemel (NOR) :

"We were hoping to be on the podium. After Friday's jumps we believed that we can make it into the top three. The final results were no big suprise, Austria and Germany are strong. Our team put up a great effort. Everybody performed good.  My next competition will be the Norwegian Cup at Holmenkollen".
