Premier concours mixte de la saison et du bon spectacle sur le petit tremplin de Lillehammer, le tout devant une assistance correcte et sous les flocons enfin arrivés en Norvège.

L'Autriche a longtemps tenu tête aux sauteurs Japonais mais ceux-ci ont élevé leur niveau au fil du concours avant de creuser des écarts importants sur tous leurs rivaux au terme des deux manches.

Yuki Ito, Daiki Ito, Sara Takanashi et Taku Takeuchi s'imposent avec un total de 942.1 points.

L'Autriche prend la deuxième place avec Seifriedsberger, Morgenstern, Iraschko-Stolz et Schlierenzauer et un total de 901.9 points.

La Norvège complète le podium avec Lundby, Velta, Sagen et Bardal. Les sauteurs locaux totalisent 887.5 points.

L'Allemagne et la Slovénie sont battues pour le podium, l'Italie se classe 6e.

Bonne 7e place pour la France avec Julia Clair, Ronan Lamy-Chappuis, Coline Mattel et Vincent Descombes-Sevoie. Les Tricolores terminent avec 829.7 points. 14 équipes sont classées.

- The longest jumps of the day was shown by Germany's Karl Geiger with 107.5 m in the second round, he improved the hill record of Andreas Kofler by 2.5 m.
- The Top 3 in a men's individual ranking were Taku Takeuchi (264.5 points), Thomas Morgenstern (250.8 points) and Marinus Kraus (242.4 points).
- The Top 3 in a ladies' individual ranking were Maren Lundby (246.2 points), Sara Takanashi (232.8 points) and Maja Vtic (232.5 points).

Daiki Ito (JPN): "My jumps today were not bad, but not really good either. But of course I'm very satisfied with the win and now I'm looking forward to next competition tomorrow."

Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (AUT): "My jumps were okay, but I think I'm only at about 80 % of my potential. I'm satisfied with the second place, it's an improvement compared to last year."

Anders Bardal (NOR): "Although the conditions were difficult, I think that it was the best competition of the winter so far. I'm satisfied with the result although we have even more potential as a team. If I can show two good jumps tomorrow I can achieve a Top 5 result."
