Magique Malysz !
L'icone polonaise démarre la saison estivale en fanfare avec un succès lors de l'épreuve par équipes samedi et surtout une très belle victoire obtenue cet après-midi sur ce tremplin d'Hinterzarten. Trois ans après son dernier succès ici, Malysz retrouve la plus haute marche du podium gràce à deux sauts mesurés à 103m50 et 107m accompagnés de très bonnes notes techniques.
Le polonais obtient un total de 265.6 points qui lui permet de devancer Thomas Morgenstern de 3.8 points, l'autrichien avait pourtant sauté plus loin avec ses 107m et 106m. Derrière ce duo de stars on trouve le finlandais Kalle Keituri avec une troisième place porteuse d'espoirs pour l'avenir.
Le japonais Takeuchi brille avec son 4e rang devant le héros local Uhrmann et le quadruple champion olympique Simon Ammann qui se remet lentement de ses maux de dos.

Adam Malysz (POL): “This was my 15th competition here in Hinterzarten and it was the first victory after three years. I’m very optimistic after this win. Last year Simon Ammann won and as everyone knows he then had a great summer and winter. I’m not one of the young jumpers anymore, but I still fight in every competition.”
Thomas Morgenstern (AUT): “I’m very satisfied with my performance, especially after the problems I had in my first jump yesterday. It showed that Adam Malysz is the one you have to beat also this season if you want to be on top.”
Kalle Keituri (FIN): Honestly, I’m surprised that I stood on the podium here today. But of course I’m happy about the result and I’m also curious to see if I can keep jumping on that level over the next weeks.
