Results & Live → 🌐 Official Site →Organised by RUN.C (Беговое сообщество, the "Running Community"), the Moscow Marathon is one of Russia's largest running events, bringing together tens of thousands of participants from dozens of countries each year. Its iconic course winds through the heart of the Russian capital, offering runners a unique immersion into the city's historical and architectural heritage. In 2026, the 10K takes place on Saturday 26 September, with the full marathon following on Sunday 27 September.
Both races start near Lomonosov Moscow State University, offering a panoramic view of the city before the route heads toward the centre. Runners pass some of Moscow's most iconic landmarks: the Stalinist skyscrapers known as the "Seven Sisters," the Bolshoi Theatre, the FSB headquarters at the Lubyanka Building, the Polytechnic Museum, the Kremlin, and the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour. The course also runs along the banks of the Moskva River and crosses the Crimean Bridge before finishing inside the iconic Luzhniki Olympic Complex, a venue that has hosted numerous sporting triumphs.
The Moscow Marathon is a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS), with both courses measured by an AIMS-certified course measurer, and is also part of the BRICS Marathon League, a project uniting the largest marathons in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan) with marathons in other BRICS countries.
