The first individual competition in Ljubno, Slovenia, was comfortably won by Sara Takanashi from Japan who celebrated her seventh victory this season. With jumps of 88.5 and 88 m she managed to score a total of 225.1 points.
The second place was taken by US athlete Sarah Hendrickson with jumps of 85 and 83.5 m (214.2 points). Coline Mattel from France (84 and 84 m, 212.1 points) ranked third.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS
- After the first round Sara Takanashi (JPN) was in the lead ahead of Sarah Hendrickson (USA) and Coline Mattel (FRA)
- The longest jump of the competition was shown by Sara Takanashi (JPN) with 88.5 m in the first competition round, the Japanese athlete celebrated her third win in a row.
- Anna Häfele (GER) did not start in today's competition for health reasons.
- Sara Takanashi (JPN) is leading in the World Cup overall ranking with an advantage of 250 points ahead of Sarah Hendrickson (USA) and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger (AUT).

Sara Takanashi (JPN): "I am so happy about my victory today and about the fact that I manage to show so many good jumps at the moment. Of course I will give my best at tomorrow's competition as well."
Sarah Hendrickson (USA): "I am absolutely satisfied because I was able to show two good jumps today. I will keep on focusing on my technique, so hopefully I can perform on the same level tomorrow. Anyway, I would like to congratulate Sara, her jumps are amazing."
Coline Mattel (FRA): “The third place is a great result for me, especially because my training jumps did not work out that well for me. It is really a great feeling to compete here in Ljubno in front of so many excited spectators."
