Results & Live → 🌐 Event Info →Young Sons, in collaboration with One Bangkok, is launching the Sanrio Characters Half Marathon on Sunday 27 September 2026 — Southeast Asia's first-ever Sanrio-themed half marathon. Framed under the concept of "Sportainment," the event reimagines six globally beloved Sanrio characters as dedicated running squads, letting participants choose the character that best represents their personality: Hello Kitty for the bright and confident, My Melody for warmth and kindness, and Kuromi for playful, bold individuality, among others.
The race route has been designed as a true City Run through Bangkok's modern business district before crossing the Chao Phraya River to reveal the riverside communities and authentic lifestyle of Thonburi, the cultural roots of Bangkok itself. The new 17K City Run format is designed to let runners experience these two distinct dimensions of the city within one memorable route. Distances range from Fun Race options of 1.7K, 3.5K, 7K and 10K, up to the 17K City Run and the full 21K Half Marathon. A Virtual Run option (3.5K or the full 21K) is also available for those unable to attend in person.
The event carries a charitable message: for every kilometre run, 1 baht is donated to the Srisawangkwat Foundation under royal patronage, supporting education, medical research and public welfare. Every distance includes unlimited free photo downloads and accident insurance, and One Bangkok Park transforms into a post-run lifestyle experience with recovery activities after the race.
