On August 22-23, 2026, downtown Santa Rosa hosts the 18th annual Santa Rosa Marathon, right in the heart of Sonoma County wine country.

Results & Live Tracking → 🌐 Official Site →The Santa Rosa Marathon takes place on August 22-23, 2026 in Santa Rosa, California, for its 18th annual edition. All races start and finish on 4th Street next to the Old Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa.
The marathon (26.2 miles, 6-hour cutoff) and half marathon (13.1 miles, 5-hour cutoff) run on Sunday, August 23, with the half starting at 7:45am. The course is USATF-certified and a recognized Boston Marathon Qualifier, with a gentle total elevation gain of roughly 416 feet.
From downtown, the route quickly transitions onto the paved Santa Rosa Creek Trail and Prince Memorial Greenway, before winding through the rural, vineyard-lined expanses northwest of the city.
The 5K (Saturday, August 22, 9:00am) and 10K also start and finish at Old Courthouse Square. Half marathon and marathon finishers receive a complimentary bottle of wine from DeLoach Vineyards at the post-race party.
