QUOTES:
Sarah Hendrickson (USA), first, second:
"I did very nice jumps in the morning and was delighted with my achievement." "At noon, Takanashi showed an impressive attemp but my jump was technically perfect and I have nothing to complain." "I wanted to follow the path of Lindsey Van who won the first Ladies Ski Jumping World Championship Gold. I achieved something important like the first individual World Cup victory and the first overall World Cup title." "I know that this is a historical moment but I will need months or even years to realize what it really means." "Of course, at the moment it seems that I'm hot for Olympic Gold in 2014. But a lot can happen, problems with my jumping technique or an injury. Sochi is still far away, too far..."

Sara Takanashi (JPN), second, first:
"It is something special to compete for your own fans and I'm happy that so many came to Zao." "I'm very happy with my placements today. In the second competition, the spectators gave me the strength to jump 102.5 m."

Daniela Iraschko (AUT), third (first competition):
"When I arrived to Zao, I was still a lot of points behind Sarah Hendrickson. Therefore, I did not care about the overall standing." "I'm happy with third place in the first competition. Duirng the second competition, the inrun track became very soft and bad. I was not able to show my best jump and finished seventh."

Ulrike Graessler (GER), third (second competition):
"I had some very good results during this season but I love to be on the podium here in Zao." "I'm fourth in the overall now and will fight to come back inside the top three." "Sarah and Sara are doing outstanding jobs. It will be a hard way to beat them now or in the near future. But I will never give up."  (source FIS)
