Pour cette première course de la saison, sur la piste olympique, les grandes dames de la discipline ont pris rendez-vous.
Sandra Naeslund, la Suédoise, vient remporter le 18e succès de sa carrière devant la gagnante de la coupe du monde, l'excellente Suissesse Fanny Smith pour un 57e podium.
Belle troisième place pour Marielle Berger Sabbatel qui s'offre un 14e top 3 tout en faisant le plein de confiance pour les JO. Sa coéquipière Alizée Baron termine à la 7e place.

On the question, whether this win was maybe some kind of prediction for the upcoming Olympic Winter Games, Naeslund answered: “Yeah, I hope so. I mean, it is a good start into the season at least and then I will take it race by race and then we’ll see.”
