Les infos sur les finalistes :

• Moutet is the third qualifier to reach the Doha final, the first since Bohdan Ulihrach in 2001 (l. to Rios).

The only qualifier to win the title was Rainer Schuettler in 1999 (d. Henman). He was also the last first-time ATP Tour champion in Doha. There were 15 first-time ATP Tour champions last year, the most since 1999 when there were 16.

• Rublev is making his fifth career ATP Tour final appearance (2-2), his second in three years in Doha.

In 2018 he lost to Monfils in the final. Rublev is trying to become the second Russian champion in Doha behind Nikolay Davydenko, who captured the 2010 title (d. Nadal). He also was a finalist in 2011 and 2013.

Finale : Rublev bat Moutet 6/2 7/6 (3)

“It’s amazing. I’m always really happy to play here. I always enjoy my time here and to finally win the title is something special for me,” Rublev said. “It’s an amazing start to the season for me and I hope I can keep this level.”

The 22-year-old is the third-youngest champion in tournament history, only trailing Andy Murray (2008-2009).

“Unfortunately, I couldn’t win tonight because the opponent was too good. But I will remember this all my life,” Moutet said.

“There is still much to work on, but I’m happy to become a Top 20 player,” Rublev said. “I think this is a good part of me, that I still have a lot of space to improve. I want to try to arrive to my maximum and then we’ll see what’s going to happen.”

Rublev earns 250 FedEx ATP Rankings points and $227,930. Moutet leaves with 150 points and $126,160.
