A free community celebration kicks off the weekend on Friday, September 18 at Columbia Point Marina Park.
Athletes take on a 1.2-mile point-to-point downriver swim in the iconic Columbia River, entering the water at Howard Amon Park and exiting at Columbia Point Park. The 56-mile bike course rolls through Richland, West Richland and the surrounding wine country, with roughly 1,800 feet of elevation gain through vineyard landscapes.
The 13.1-mile run is flat and scenic, following the riverfront on paved parks and trails to a festive finish at Columbia Point Park. This run course was named the Best Run Course in the world in the 2025 IRONMAN 70.3 Athletes' Choice Awards. Nearly 1,000 volunteers support the event each year. Live tracking: rtrt.me.
