Le Polonais Kamil Stoch s'est imposé pour la deuxième fois de l'hiver mercredi lors du concours de Klingenthal, comptant pour la Coupe du monde de saut à skis. (voir les vidéos en bas de page).

Stoch, vainqueur de son premier concours du circuit mondial le mois dernier à Zakopane (Pologne), a devancé avec 264,6 points (132 et 136,5 m) l'Autrichien Thomas Morgenstern (264 pts) et le Suisse Simon Ammann (263,3 pts).

L'Allemand Michael Uhrmann qui avait écrasé la première manche avec un bond extraordinaire à 146,5 m, n'a pas confirmé en seconde manche avec 115 m et a terminé au 13e rang (240,1 pts).

Morgenstern reste solidement installé à la première place de la Coupe du
monde avec 441 points d'avance sur Ammann.

Mais l'Autrichien, vainqueur de la tournée des Quatre tremplins 2011, n'affiche plus la forme étincelante de la première partie de saison et n'est plus qu'un parmi une dizaine d'autres de prétendants aux podiums des Mondiaux-2011 d'Oslo (23 fév-6 mars).

Côté français, Emmanuel Chedal a pris la 23e place (214,9 pts).

La Coupe du monde se poursuit samedi à Oberstdorf, toujours en Allemagne.

Kamil Stoch (POL): “I set a hill record here, in October I won the Summer Grand Prix competition. Klingenthal is a good place for me. The second jump was much better than the first one, but the first jump was also good. I’m also happy that the whole team is jumping so well at the moment.”

 

Thomas Morgenstern (AUT): “I always said that this is not one of my favorite hill, but times can change. It was a very difficult competition. My first jump was very good and it put me into a good position to do well also in the second round. I’m very happy and very satisfied. This was another important step for me.”

 

Simon Ammann (SUI): “I didn’t show what I’m capable of today. My jumps were not perfect. I also don’t agree with the opinion of the judges. Morgenstern’s binding opened at the landing. I don’t understand why he still got 19.0. That cost me the second place.”
