Takanashi s'est imposée avec des sauts à 89,5 et 92 mètres pour un total de 266,9 points, devançant largement Mattel (243,3 pts) et l'Américaine Sarah Hendrickson (241,8 pts).

La Japonaise de 19 ans a remporté huit des 14 concours de la saison et ne peut plus être rejointe au classement mondial par Hendrickson alors qu'il reste deux concours au programme.

Mattel, 17 ans, est montée pour la septième fois de l'hiver, dont deux victoires, sur un podium de Coupe du monde et pointe au 3e rang mondial.

Elle fait figure de prétendante avec Takanashi et Hendrickson au podium des Championnats du monde 2013 qui débute jeudi dans le Val di Fiemme. Lors des Mondiaux-2011 à Oslo, les premiers pour le saut à skis féminin, elle avait décroché la médaille de bronze.
