On Sunday 30 August 2026, the TCS Sydney Marathon presented by ASICS starts at 6:30am from St Leonards Park in North Sydney.
Results & Live → 🌐 Official Website →The TCS Sydney Marathon takes place on Sunday 30 August 2026, its 26th edition and now the fourth of seven Abbott World Marathon Majors races. More than 40,000 runners take on the 42.195 km course, which starts at St Leonards Park in North Sydney and includes a traffic-free crossing of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
The route passes through The Rocks, Macquarie Street, Taylor Square in Darlinghurst (with a climb up Oxford Street), Moore Park and Centennial Park, before finishing outside the Sydney Opera House. The profile carries 313 m of climbing against a net drop of 83 m. Course records stand at 2:06:06 for men (Hailemaryam Kiros, 2025) and 2:18:22 for women (Sifan Hassan, 2025).
The race weekend also includes a 10K on Sunday and the Sydney Mini Marathon (5K) on Saturday 29 August, running from Macquarie Street around the Royal Botanic Garden and The Domain to the same Opera House finish.
