The 2026 weekend runs from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 September, based around Freedom Square on the edge of Tallinn's UNESCO World Heritage Old Town. The single-lap marathon course starts near the iconic Tall Hermann Tower, which flies the Estonian flag from atop Toompea Hill, and winds through six city districts, past the baroque Kadriorg Palace and its parkland, along the scenic Pirita coastline on the Baltic Sea, and through the remarkably intact 13th-century Old Town walls for a dramatic final kilometre.
The multi-day festival spans Friday's kids' races, Saturday's 10K and Half Marathon, and Sunday's full Marathon (42.2 km, starting 9:00am), plus a Youth Run and virtual participation options. The route is flat and fast, ideal for a personal best, and both the marathon and half marathon are certified Boston Marathon qualifying events. Organised to World Athletics standards, the event offers reduced entry rates for seniors and youth and group discounts for parties of 10 or more.
