Organised by Action Challenge as part of its Ultra Challenge® series — which raised over £12m for charity across 40,000+ participants in 2026 — the Thames weekend opens on Friday 11 September with the Thames Moonlight 10: a looped, walking-only route from The Oval, choice of 10km or 10 miles, as darkness falls and the moon rises over landmarks including St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Tower Bridge and the London Eye. A finish-line glass of fizz, hot food and a moon-themed medal await.

On Saturday 12 September, the Thames Bridges Trek sets off from Putney Bridge for a 25km walk east through the city, via a halfway stop at The Oval Cricket Ground, finishing at Southwark Park after crossing 16 of the capital's historic bridges. New for 2026, a shorter 10km option starts directly from The Oval on Saturday morning and finishes at the same Southwark Park line. Results and live tracking for both events: LiveTrail.
